David Cameron has revealed that his 11-year-old daughter has threatened a hunger strike if the BBC go through with the sacking of suspended Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.
It turns out Nancy is a big fan of Clarkson and the show, and is not happy with his recent suspension. She has been holding short hunger protests and has ‘threatened’ more.
However the Prime Minister, a friend of Clarkson, has told his daughter that it ‘would not be useful’.
The comments were made by Mr Cameron during a series of BBC profiles being made on the private side of party leaders. He said:
Nancy has threatened to go on hunger strike unless Jeremy Clarkson is restored. I told her this is not necessarily a useful intervention. It is not exactly Gandhi.
