A pub chef from Stockton-on-tees has created possible the henchest burger we have ever seen in our life, and it weighs in at a whopping FIVE POUND.
Graham Harker of The George pub used 48lb of beef, 4lb of cheese, 2lb of mayonnaise and two 20in-wide buns. Each of the three meat layers took nearly five hours to cook.
His son, Craig who is the pub landlord said: “The hardest bit was getting two 20in buns specially made. Luckily we managed to find a bakery in Hartlepool that had an oven that was big enough.”
The beast also smashes the previous record set by The Bond Hotel in Blackpool who created a burger that weight in at 45lb.
Craig continued: “The pub was absolutely packed. We shared out the burger and the dogs ate really well that night.”
Brilliant. We have to try this.
