U.S. rapper Rick Ross has been arrested and is facing charges for kidnapping and assault following a rush on his mansion just outside Atlanta by a fugitive task force.
The Associated Press learned that Ross – whose real name is William Roberts – and his bodyguard were taken into custody in Fayette County and are both being held on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
Details of the charges are yet to come, but rumours are, according to WSBTV, that Ross pistol whipped and kidnapped a contractor working on his home in Georgia.
According to sources, Ross was having work done on the property he bought in Fayette County. Ross allegedly got into a fight with one of the workers and pistol-whipped him.
Ross’ bodyguard was also arrested.
Both men are charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
Ross and his bodyguard are still being held and are currently awaiting a bond hearing.
