Remember that old dusty internet browser you used to play Habbo Hotel on before you knew there were alternatives? Well, it’s dead at 19-years-old.
As confirmed by The Verge, Microsoft has officially killed its once dominant browser for good. Sad times. Or not.
But Microsoft aren’t ending their browsing ventures there, as a new one seems to be in the shadows rumoured to be codenamed ‘Project Spartan’.
Microsoft’s marketing chief Chris Capossella said:
We’re now researching what the new brand, or the new name, for our browser should be in Windows 10.
We’ll continue to have Internet Explorer, but we’ll also have a new browser, which is codenamed Project Spartan. We have to name the thing.
As of yet there is no date for the reveal of the new browser’s name, but it will be a part of the much anticipated Windows 10, which comes out later this year.
