The new Rolls-Royce Dawn is apparently inspired by the curves of actress Anita Ekberg in 1961 film, ‘La Dolce Vita’, making it ‘the sexist car ever’. Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on confirmation of the Ford Beyonce.
The luxury car maker has announced the curvaceous convertible will set you back £250,000. Bosses at the company say the Dawn will reach a top speed of 155mph and hit 62mph in under five seconds – more than enough to nip down the shop.
Mixing the shape of the classic Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn drophead coupe of 1952 and the curves of Anita Ekberg – who sadly passed away earlier this year – the car is said to be a celebration of ‘the good life’.
Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes says:
Our new Rolls-Royce Dawn promises a striking, seductive encounter like no other Rolls-Royce to date, and begins a new age of open-top, super-luxury motoring. Quite simply, it is the sexiest Rolls-Royce ever built.
Despite looking super sleek and sexy, the Dawn is a bit of a tank. Powered by a 6.6 litre 563bhp twin-turbo V12 engine linked to an eight speed automatic gearbox, the car will get you nearly 20 miles to the gallon.
You can see the Rolls-Royce Dawn when it gets a proper showing at the Frankfurt motor show next week, but if you want a full list of features, you can check them out here.
