UFC women’s bantamweight champion ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey has said her dream fight would be against former pound-for-pound king Jon Jones.
Her reason? Because they’d do “some crazy ninja stuff”.
The undefeated 28-year-old phenomenon was asked who her dream match would be against during a Q&A session with the Wall Street Journal.
Dream world like skills-wise or annoying me-wise? Does size count? Could we just go from anybody’s skills? Like dream match, skills-wise, I would love to see where I would go with Jon Jones because he’s the one most able to improvise within a match, which is something I really pride myself on. I think we’d do some crazy ninja stuff. And then Bryan Caraway’s really annoying. It would be fun to beat him up, but plenty of other people have gotten that pleasure before me, apparently.
Rousey has never been fond of Caraway, which stretches back to her intense feud with his girlfriend, former Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate.
The Jon Jones dream fight is a revelation, however. Unfortunately, ‘Bones’ Jones is currently suspended indefinitely due to his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident last month, so Rousey will have to settle for Bethe Correia in Brazil.
Rousey defends her UFC title against Correia at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro on August 1 and she’ll probably be hoping to break her 14-second submission record.
