It’s been almost a week since ‘The Dress’ was the most viral thing on the planet, and I’ve been glad to see the back of it. Trust me.
But the South African arm of the Salvation Army have just put together a strong domestic violence advert and we feel it deserved some exposure.
The advert shows a woman lay on her side in the (blatantly) white and gold version of the dress while her legs and face are covered in bruises.

The advert asks: ‘Why is it so hard to see black and blue?’
The only illusion is if you think it was her choice. One in six women are victims of abuse. Stop abuse against women.
Powerful stuff, and advertising done right. Fair play.
