Documentary film-maker Louis Theroux is set to be the subject of his own documentary – released by the Church of Scientology.
Theroux is currently working on his own feature length documentary for the BBC, titled ‘Stairway to Heaven: Louis Theroux and the Church of Scientology’.
But, now, it appears that the church have reversed the roles.
Just been informed by Scientology lawyers that Scientology is working on a documentary about me. Little bit excited; little bit nervous.

It looks like the church retaliated by filming Theroux during his documentary and will now release the footage as part of its own film about the presenter.
The Church of Scientology famously counts several celebrities as members, including Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
People seem even more excited to see Scientology's doc about me than my doc about Scn. Maybe I should have just made a doc about myself?

The last time the BBC produced a documentary on the secretive religious group, the church tried the same tactic and had their own cameraman film presenter John Sweeney and his team.
It produced this classic reaction from Sweeney:
The new Scientology produced documentary could be almost as fascinating as Theroux’s work, for very different reasons.
The Westboro Baptist Church must be kicking themselves that they didn’t think to do this first.
