Paul Gascoigne has sorted himself out, and is hoping to make a return to the beautiful game.
Gazza has been pretty quiet in the news of late. Which probably isn’t a bad thing, considering how he looked last time.
But the geordie legend has been away in rehab, sobering himself up, and is apparently now after a job at Newcastle United.
Aiming for a coaching role, Gazza believes he would be great for the job of building up Newcastle and England’s future stars.
On Twitter, he said that Peter Beardsley is the right man for the managers job, and would be relying on him for a helping hand in getting into the coaching staff.
While we don’t know a great deal about his health right now, we hope for the best, and think that having him back involved in football can only be great for everybody involved.
Football needs more characters.
Here are a couple of our favourite Gazza moments:
“The ball was still at me feet!”
