According to a host of media outlets and bookmakers, Sue Perkins is odds on at the moment to replace Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear.
After a flurry of bets, the Great British Bake Off co-presenter has replaced Dermot O’Leary as the most likely to take the reigns from Clarkson on the hit BBC 2 show.
And she took to twitter today to hit back at some of the recent negative comments she’s recieved since the news came out.
Just back from night shoot in Kolkata sewers to find my timeline busy with middle-aged man-trolls. General gist: Man do cars, woman do cake

The odds currently look like this… Perkins is at evens, with Dermot O’Leary breathing down her neck at 2-1 while Celebrity Masterchef finalist and model Jodie Kidd stands in third at 5-2.
Following the ‘fracas’ that saw Clarkson sacked from the show, Top Gear have stripped the branding from the upcoming live tour and have simply named it ‘Clarkson, Hammond & May Live.’
Who do YOU want to see step in Clarkson’s shoes when Top Gear finally returns?
