This is super-fit Abby Pell who has recently come under fire after an Instagram post of her and her daughter went viral.
The 33-year-old mum aims to encourage others to lose post-pregnancy weight and keep fit and the post below is nothing out of the ordinary for her Instagram page.
The picture reads “I’ve got a kid, a six pack and no excuse”, which is pretty much true. She has a kid and a six pack, but it’s the “no excuse” part that pissed people off on social media.
She was quickly accused of ‘fat shaming’ and ‘exploiting her motherhood to show off’ by women on Twitter. One even went as far as saying “This is so demeaning – I bet she doesn’t have to work for a living.”
However while being a devoted mum, Abby runs her own nutrition business and still manages to find time to keep in immaculate shape.
Having a child is not a valid reason for being out of shape. Everybody can make excuses. I want to show that this figure is achievable.
It doesn’t matter if you’re overweight, if you have a busy lifestyle and kids to look after – if you want to do it then there’s always a way.
Being a mum doesn’t mean you have to give up. You can have stretch marks and a great figure – I’m so proud of my body and I want other people to be proud of their bodies too.
Abby only decided to post the ‘demeaning’ picture on Instagram when her daughter, Bella, told her she looked like Wonder Woman.
And when obesity and junk food marketing is statistically on the rise, it’s stupid to label photos like these as ‘abusive’.
