Tesco have faced outrage after announcing that they are taking Carlsberg beer off shelves.
They have also decided to get rid of Kingsmill, Ribena and Capri-Sun, which probably won’t be too well received by consumers either.
The decision comes as part of a move by the supermarket chain to remove big brands from their shelves.
Tesco now plan to only have 200 stores selling 4-packs of the beer, with the supermarket saying:
We have taken the decision to discontinue a number of Carlsberg products in our stores and online.
We will continue to offer customers a great range of beers, lagers and ciders.
Colleagues in store will be on hand to offer assistance and suggest alternatives should customers find a product they used to buy is no longer available.
Needless to say, it did not go down well in some quarters…
Tesco have pulled the plug on Carlsberg, nice going, it was the cheapest brand name lager they had, well me like any other will go elsewhere

And some people just decided to use it as an opportunity to throw as much shade as possible…
Tesco pulling Carlsberg off its shelves. Fans will have to make do with one of the several other lager brands that taste exactly the same.
