Texas policemen are really not having a great time of it right now. Only days after one officer was forced to resign after pulling a gun out on some unarmed kids, another officer has hit the headlines for trying to shut down a lemonade stall.

Yeah, you read that right, a lemonade stall, which was run by two young girls who wanted to save some money for Father’s Day, because they claimed they did not have the right permits and they were just following orders.

Zoey and Andria Green were apparently stood too close to the curb and were told to shut down.

Overton Police Chief Clyde Carter claimed:

It is a lemonade stand, but they also have a permit that they are required to get. We have to follow by the state health guidelines. They have to have a permit if they’re going to do the lemonade stands.

The little girls have decided that they will open the stand regardless and frankly, good on them.
