It’s the news that every Inbetweeners fan expected, but prayed wouldn’t happen. But it has. There will be no third film and/or new series. The gang have finally put it to rest.

The legendary cast have now retired Will, Jay, Neil and Simon for good. And in a recent interview with The Sun, Simon Bird who plays Will said: “There’s no third film. This is genuinely our last interview ever. Ever, ever, ever.”

Joe Thomas, who plays Simon also added: “We should take a moment – it’s like the fall of the Berlin Wall.”

The show was that popular, the USA even decided to do their own version. But it fell flat and ended after the first season. You just can’t do awkward college humour like the British.

To be fair to the boys, this is probably the right time to pack it in. Both films did remarkably well at the box office and the TV series is now iconic.

They’ve hung their boots up at the top of their game and we’re looking forward to what each of them has in store individually for the future.

Retirement wankers.
