Can you imagine if there was a pill that someone could take to make them a more caring, sensitive person – and stop the inequality bullsh*t that comes out of their mouth?
Well now you can do just that according to scientists at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at San Francisco, who seem to think that Tolcapone, a drug already used to combat the signs of Parkinson’s could do just that.
Apparently, extending the impact of dopamine – the chemical that is responsible for the motivation and reward areas of the brain – can make people become more responsive and receptive to inequality.
Participants of the study were given either the drug itself or a placebo, and it turned out that the ones taking it were more willing to divide money given in the test experiment up evenly.
Where can we get some?
