Gun control is one of the most divisive issues all around the world, especially in the USA, and the right to carry arms has caused a huge amount of debate.
Now one dude, 18 year old Kai Kloepfer, claims he has made the ‘world’s safest gun’ that uses a finger print sensor to determine if it will unlock and become fireable.
The gun would scan the user’s fingerprint and if it was a match, would unlock and be able to be fired. If not, the trigger would lock and obviously stop kids picking up the gun and using it (not that they should obviously be lying around the house anyway).
While the idea is commendable and we certainly like it, the fingerprint sensor would not stop a crazy person going out and buying the gun and then activating it to use in a mass shooting or revenge killing, and we think that it may be one solution to stop kids picking up guns, but there are far bigger problems surrounding firearms that need to be addressed.
