Plenty of things have changed in Denver, Colorado since they introduced Amendment 64 in November 2012. The state law now allows adults aged 21 or above to legally possess up to an ounce (28g) of weed whilst travelling, gift up to that amount to another adult or grow up to six plants for their own use.
Stoners in the western state now enjoy a range of facilities including a weed-friendly hotel, a plethora of farm-to-table cannabis shops and marijuana vending machines which have started popping up around the city.
But they seem to have outdone themselves this time with a cannabis holiday camp, like the stoners equivalent of Centre Parks. The aptly named CannaCamp offers a cannabis-friendly environment for adults who want to want to enjoy a range of activities such as yoga, fishing and hiking with their smoke.
Due to open on July 1st, the camp is the first of its kind in the world. Guests will be offered tailored guidance on using weed (presumably to avoid the perils of overdose or ‘whiety’ as it’s also referred to as), suggestions on strains of the plant that will compliment their fine dining options and cooking lessons that will teach the punters how to infuse their green with food.
In a statement on their online publications CannCamp website said: “Consuming small doses [of weed] before participating in one of our yoga classes melts away the nerves and inhibitions, and makes you more receptive to the poses and music.”
Thinking of booking a flight for the opening event next month? You better get saving as prices start at $395 per person per night.
