The call centre worker bought the house for just £1 with help from the council, Your Housing Group, and believe it or not, Liverpool FC.

The house is in the Anfield area of the city, and it needed a lot of work doing to it when she first got the keys.

This scheme is such a good idea because the area was quite run down over the last few years, been left to its own defences.

Giving people the opportunity to get on the property ladder who would not have been able to, because you need such a large deposit – and it’s keeping local people in the community and people will take care of their houses.
