Police locked a 23-year-old woman away for a whole month before realising she was completely innocent.

Florida resident, Ashley Gabrielle Huff, was arrested on suspicion of using the illegal drug methamphetamine, when a spoon she’d used to eat SpaghettiOs with was discovered in a vehicle she was a passenger in. The police officer genuinely believed that the residue from her tinned meal was crystal meth and made the arrest there and then.

Ms Huff, who has no prior felonies to her name, pleaded her innocence but missed some of her court dates. This landed her with one month in prison whilst a crime lab analysed the spoon. They later found there was no trace of drugs and Ms Huff was released from Hall County Jail.

Personally, I think the police officer has watched too much Breaking Bad. He’s about to get a whole lot of sued for this one.
