Losing a loved one is a pain few can imagine unless they have actually experienced it, and for those who have, they wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Now French businesswoman Katia Apaletegui thinks she has found a way to make the grieving process easier after coming up with the idea of making perfume that smells of your deceased loved one.
It is done by gathering up their favourite possessions, so pillowcases, clothes and the like and then handing them to Université du Havre chemists who run them through a process to isolate the scents and turn them into a fragrance.
For me, it’s a beyond creepy idea and certainly not something I would ever do. Spraying myself with eau de dead friend isn’t something I can imagine sitting well for me.
