Have you ever been stuck in a relationship that was going nowhere, but you just didn’t know how to get out of it? Well Australian nurse Kristy Mazins, based in Melbourne, has come up with an idea that will solve all your problems.

Her brainchild, called ‘Sorry It’s Over’, will deal with your break-up for you – and send a text for £2.84, or a letter to your significant other (or even have someone do it in person for £34), explaining why things just aren’t going to work out between you. It comes at a cost to you, obviously, but some times, it’s worth the money.

You can also have flowers sent, and a message reading: ‘We have not been seeing eye-to-eye. I feel we are too different. It is me not you. There is no chemistry anymore. Hope you will be OK. We can still be friends.’

If the reason for breaking up is really bad, you can also take the opportunity to send a harsher message, reading: ‘How dare you treat me like this! It is over and I could not be happier. I deserve better than you. You will never find anyone as good as me.’

That would cost you £40, though I have no idea why you would want to send someone flowers if you were going to write the latter of those messages.

If neither a text or flowers floats your boat, you can also pay for a posted letter for £7, and have someone make a phone call for £6. Should you really want to go all out, you can send a sympathy hamper for £46, containing wine, chocolates, tissues, the written note and for some reason, peanuts.

So there you go, if you want to get rid of your partner, now you have a way to do it.
