A high court judge has ruled that claims of a satanic cult who tortured babies and young children never existed and their existence was dreamt up by a rather disturbed couple who even coerced their two young kids into agreeing with their delusions and repeating them to authorities.
The delusional couple also claimed that said cult members were paedophiles and even named a school, fast food joint and church in their list of ritualistic locations and it turns out that all of their claims were false.
So it turns out (thankfully) that babies were not cooked in ovens, young kids were not raped and the 100 people who were unfairly accused of doing pretty heinous crimes when they had in fact done absolutely nothing were exonerated of all alleged crimes.
We can’t deny that we are glad the cult did not in fact exist – no one wants to read about babies having their throats sliced open and their blood being drunk – but we have to seriously wonder about the individuals who made this up, one of whom is now thought to be abroad.
Both of their kids are now in foster care in case you were wondering.
