Robin Williams is one of the all time greats.

His back catalogue of films included everything from Aladdin to Good Will Hunting, but one of most people’s favourites was Mrs Doubtfire.

The film featured a standout performance from the actor, and despite being released in 1993, is still loved by kids now.

Not only was the late Williams a great actor, it turns out he was a pretty amazing guy as well, and this letter, posted on Imgur, proves it.

Williams wrote a letter on behalf of one girl, Lisa Jakub, who had been on set while the film was in production, and was expelled from her school after missing a day.

The actor went above and beyond, praising the girl, and informing the school that they should reconsider her expulsion.

His passion for acting is clear in the letter, as is his belief that all kids should have the chance to learn outside of the classroom – something that is hard to disagree with.
