Pharrell Williams has found himself in hot water with popstar Pink due to a recent trademark filing.
The multi-hyphenate made headlines earlier this month when he quietly dropped his new project, 'Black Yacht Rock, Vol. 1: City of Limitless Access'.
The 10-song record, released to mark his 51st birthday, comes amid an ongoing legal battle with producer Chad Hugo.
The pair have worked together under the moniker of The Neptunes since 1992 and have produced tracks for a multitude of artists, including Nelly, Beyoncé and Snoop Dogg.

However, 50-year-old Hugo has recently accused Williams of ‘fraudulently’ attempting to unilaterally register trademarks for the Neptunes name.
Representatives of Williams told Billboard that the dispute was a ‘surprise’ and that the filing was so a ‘third party’ couldn’t get ‘hold of the trademark’.
Interestingly, Hugo isn’t the only music industry figure to take aim at Pharrell over recent trademark findings.
As per Rolling Stone, the ‘Lapdance’ singer has reportedly found himself at loggerheads with 44-year-old American singer-songwriter, Pink.

According to a new lawsuit, the artist - whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore - believes the father-of-four shouldn’t be allowed to trademark his P.Inc business.
It’s alleged that she believes the cognomen is ‘similar in sight, sound, meaning and commercial impression’ to her own stage name.
Pink registered her name as a trademark officially in 2001 and her lawyers are allegedly aiming to have the Trademark Trial And Appeal Board oppose Williams’ recent registration.

“[Williams] and [Pink’s] goods and services are identical and/or closely related… [Williams] is likely to market and promote its goods through the same channels of trade and to the same consumers as [Pink],” the lawsuit reportedly reads.
The suit was filed by Pink’s company Lefty Paw Print against Williams’ company PW IP Holdings at a federal tribunal Thursday (18 April).
This summer, Pink will be bringing her Summer Carnival 2024 tour to the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
On 11 June, she will set up shop at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before making her way over to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 15.

Five days later, the ‘So What’ hitmaker will perform a two-night residency at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium before taking over Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium on June 24 and 25.
The UK and Ireland leg of the Summer Carnival shows will come to a close on June 28 and 29 when she performs at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
