Rick Ross furious at watch expert who is claiming his $3 million Audemars Piguet is fake

Watch expert Nico Leonard van der Host called out the rapper for flaunting a 'fake' 3 million dollar 'Audemars Piguet' watch

Rick Ross has been left furious after an expert claimed his $3 million designer watch isn't real and is, indeed, fake.

The 'Purple Lamborghini' rapper fumed after watch expert Nico Leonard van der Host suggested that his green Audemars Piguet watch, that cost Ross a small fortune, is nothing but a fake.

Like many famous musicians, Ross is no stranger to flaunting his luxury jewellery collection on social media.

But Dutch YouTuber and horology pro Nico Leonard has claimed that the rapper's six-figure watch isn't genuine, and demanded an explanation from the star.

“Rick Ross, bro, I just made a video about your insane green AP," van der Host said in an Instagram post last week.

"Unfortunately, it’s fake. Why are you flaunting fake watches? There’s only one of these watches in the world at 41 mil and there’s another one at 37.

“There’s more coming in the future but because of the complexity and the difficulty to find these stones, there’s currently only one in the world. Can you explain me this, Rick Ross?”

He then shared a picture of one of the two only 'legit' Audemars Piguet watches, to drive his point home surrounding the authenticity of Ross' watch.

The expert took to Instagram to claim Rick Ross' designer watch is a fake, showing off a 'real' version.

“Why is there a photo here with my name, Nico Leonard, and the photo of that exact watch? That’s the real deal and you have a fake. The real owner sent me this photo and you have a fake watch."

“Why are you flaunting a fake watch and saying that watch is worth $3.25 million, man? I thought you had to be an example for the youth etc. Mate, load of balls, get your act together. This is pathetic.”

After Ross caught wind of the accusations, he quickly took to social media to clap back at van der Host, even commenting on the 'Watch Expert's' weight in retaliation.

Posting on March 11, the rapper wrote on his Instagram Stories: “For the little fat guy in the one-cubicle office speaking on watches, speaking on Rick Ross and his Audemars, it’s unbelievable isn’t it, fat guy? Little piglet."

The rapper added: “Oh, those emeralds are so rare. It would be so hard for a Black man to obtain such a rare timepiece. It’s a simple feat for a boss. Now, stay out of grown folks’ business, little piglet. You on Rozay d**k.”

While the rapper didn't specifically deny the allegations that the watch was a fake, instead he focused on his other ostentatious purchases, giving his followers a mini-tour of his collection of expensive cars.
