Drunken pranksters have been blamed after a Triceratops was inconveniently placed in the middle of a road on the Isle of Wight.

The beast was discovered by a late night worker who was forced to stop as the 25 foot plastic statue completely blocked the road.

This is the scene Chris Hollingshead was presented with.

According to the Daily Mail, the dinosaur belongs to a local shop that stocks fossils and prehistoric gems in Godshill.

The owner of Island Gems, Martin Simpson, told the County Press:

It must have taken five hefty lads to move it.

It’s great people are talking about it, but I wouldn’t want to encourage anybody to cause a hazard for traffic.

The model, known as Godshilla, has been returned to Simpson, who bought it from the Isle of Wight Zoo roughly a decade ago.

The Mail has also reported that it isn’t the first time Godshilla has been targeted.

Local pub owner Lisa Choi told the paper that balloons had been tied around the model’s neck at Christmas.

Balloons? The mad bastards. People really need to settle down on the island.
