During the Second World War thousands of homosexuals were experimented on, beaten and cruelly murdered in concentration camps across Europe.
However, wartime documents have emerged that claims that the guy behind it all could have been gay himself.
In a spy dossier drawn up for the allies, it alleges that Adolf Hitler often shared houses with like-minded blokes and had sexual encounters with several male partners, The Daily Star reports.
A U.S. intelligence agency compiled psychological studies from reports created by informers who knew Adolf’s sexual preferences.
In one of them, written by psychologist Walter C Langer back in 1943, he said:
Hitler derives pleasure from looking at men’s bodies and associating with homosexuals. His personal body guard is almost always 100% homosexual. The belief that Hitler is homosexual has probably developed (a) from the fact that he does show so many feminine characteristics. And (b) from the fact that there were so many homosexuals in the party during the early days and many continue to occupy important positions.
He added that Hitler felt ‘much more at ease with homosexuals’ and that informants made the point that he had ‘absolutely no interest in women or any contact’.
However, Hitler did have a long-term girlfriend in the form of Eva Braun, who he married only hours before committing suicide at the end of the war. But they rarely had sex and the couple didn’t have a child together.
Langer also claimed that in the late 1920’s Hitler regularly visited a friend’s house in Munich which was a ‘meeting place for homosexuals’, where ‘there was a good deal of drinking and great freedom in sexual activities of all kinds’.
This isn’t the first time that the Fuhrer’s sexual habits have come under scrutiny. Sources claimed back in March that he had a craving for ‘poo sex’ – and, to make matters even more repelling, the fantasy was often carried out on him by his niece.
In a new book called The Peculiar Sex Life of Adolf Hitler, historian Siobhan Pat Mulcahy concludes that the former German leader was into guys, despite pretending to be straight.
Hitler tried to present himself to the German people as a contented heterosexual bachelor (having been advised to do so by propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels) but this “false personality” was very far from the truth”. While the Nazi machine began to persecute homosexuals, to imprison them and then to murder its own gay SA leaders, Hitler was enjoying a secret gay relationship with Julius Schreck, his personal Munich chauffeur and former bodyguard who would be his last male companion.
The intelligence agency concluded in the report that Hitler was not capable of participating in normal sex.
