The lover of Rurik Jutting, the British banker who killed two prostitutes in Hong Kong, has confessed she still has feelings for him despite his crimes.
Jutting was sentenced to life in prison for the killings of Sumarti Ningsih and Seneng Mujiasih after their mutilated bodies were found in his apartment back in November 2014.
According to the Daily Mail, Joanna Mendoza,27, was in an ‘intense relationship’ with Jutting which ended just a fortnight before his horrific crimes.
Despite being found guilty of a five-day torture and murder spree Mendoza says she still wants to pursue a relationship with Jutting and even want to visit him in prison,
It wasn’t the Rurik I know who did those terrible things. The sex was good, there was nothing unusual about it.
Joanna claims that Jetting was a kindly lover with a gentle sense of humour who she even considered marrying before his barbarous crimes.
She claims their relationship ended after an argument between friends of Jetting’s ex and Mendoza’s which left him confused and he eventually called things quits.
Despite ending the relationship bar girls in Hong Kong claim Jetting was heartbroken and one girl called Lin who knew the murderer claims that the girls believe he began killing other girls when he couldn’t see Mendoza anymore.
Joanna at first didn’t believe the stories about Jenning but when she couldn’t get in touch with him because the police had taken his phone she caught on.
She was horrified when she read the details of the crimes, calling it ‘terrible’ adding she can’t imagine Rurik doing those things.
I hope he’s better now because what he did must have been the result of some illness or madness. He is such an intelligent man and when we were together, he was so good to me. That’s why I fell so easily for him.
I am a little afraid about what he has done of course but I would like one day to see him again. I still miss him, and I miss the times we had together.
Well they say love is blind…
