A man from Oklahoma who is suspected of killing two of his family members decided to post his escape from police on Facebook Live.
The fatal incident began around 6.30pm on Sunday evening near Wellston, Oklahoma, when Michael Vance, 38, opened fire on two officers with an AK-47, after they responded to an emergency call.
Vance, who is believed to have been shot twice in the torso during the gunfight, then stole their patrol car and fled the scene. Police later found the decapitated bodies of his aunt and uncle at a nearby home.
He reportedly dumped the patrol car at a trailer park, where he car-jacked a woman, shot and wounded her and stole her Lincoln Continental.
That car was also found dumped later and police said on Monday that they believed Vance had stolen a third vehicle, a grey Mitsubishi. As he fled once again, this is when Vance broadcast on Facebook Live, boasting about what happened.
Now investigators are concerned that as part of his rampage, Vance will begin targeting a ‘hit list’, which contains the names of several people, the Daily Mail reports.
Police added that protection is now being provided for these individuals, with the FBI currently coordinating a manhunt alongside federal, state and local agencies to find Vance.
Vance was recently released from jail pending a court appearance over the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old. Authorities have also said that Vance has AIDS and is looking to spread the virus, according to News9.
“Vance is armed, has shown he will use his weapon on law enforcement officers and civilians, and is extremely dangerous. If you see Vance… please do not approach,” a Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office statement said.
We echo that sentiment, stay safe out there guys.
