Magic Mushrooms Discovered In Buckingham Palace Grounds

By : Alex Bentley |

A type of magic mushroom has been found growing in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

The ‘fly mushroom’ as it is known, with its scientific title Amanita muscaria, was discovered by none other than Alan Titchmarsh during production for TV show ‘The Queen’s Garden’. He said “That was quite a surprise, but it shows just how varied the species are.”

The red and white-headed toadstools are a common species, and are believed to have grown naturally.

It’s not yet known if they will feature in the Christmas Day episode of the TV show, but if they do, I hope one of the royals eats a couple.
