I think it’s fair to say that the hype around the upcoming Suicide Squad is real. Very, very real.
However, despite much having been said around Jared Leto’s antics as the Joker, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, very little – if anything at all – has been said about Cara Delevingne.
But all of that is about to change, as Cara has spoken out about her ‘creative process’ while getting ready for the role of Enchantress, and some of it is incredibly eye-opening.
While being interviewed by W Magazine earlier this week, the model said she spent a lot of time getting naked in forests.
This is what she said:
David [the film’s writer and director] asked me to go and try and find a forest and, if it was a full moon, get naked and walk through the woods with my feet in the mud, which I did.
Speaking about the first time she met the director, she said:
I met the director, David Ayer, at a hotel in London on a dark and stormy night. He didn’t tell me anything about the movie.
Instead, he showed me pictures of these amazing, enlightened, powerful, but very evil women. He spoke to me about addiction and mental illness, which are things I find very, very interesting.
Suicide Squad is due to hit cinemas on August 5, and it will be Cara’s eighth movie appearance.
Cara spiralled into the limelight a few years back – but with Joan Collins for a godmother, a godfather who is head of one of the world’s biggest mass media companies (running Vogue and Vanity Fair), an uncle who is a magazine publisher, and a family laden with a deep connection to royalty, it isn’t too hard to see how Cara found fame.
