Publisher 2K Games has released a shiny trailer for the remaster compilation, BioShock: The Collection, and the original game is looking particularly ravishing.
BioShock: The Collection will feature the original game, its sequel, and BioShock Infinite, but this new trailer focuses entirely on the first entry in the series, as we’re asked to ‘revisit Rapture’.
The original game launched back in 2007, and while the stylised Art Deco world of Rapture has a timeless quality, a fresh lick of paint has done BioShock the world of good.
It really does look better than ever, and with the ability to run at 1080p and ‘up to’ 60fps, the remastered Rapture is gonna be worth a visit from even those who have played the game a dozen times before.
Check out the trailer just below – if you’ve not already played BioShock then you’re missing out in a big way, but this is the perfect time to rectify the situation.
The first two BioShock titles will be getting remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, while a remastered Infinite will only come to consoles and sit out a PC re-release.
This isn’t to say that The Collection will entirely exclude Infinite on PC – just that PC gamers will be getting the regular version of the game.
The Collection launches on September 13 for all platforms, and comes with all single-player DLC from each game, and a video series featuring commentary from director Ken Levine and lead artist Shawn Robertson.
