A good chunk of footage for the impending remaster of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has just landed, and it’s looking pretty damn sweet.

Considering the game launches in a week and we’ve only had the brief 10 seconds of footage shown back at E3 to look over since the announcement, you’re gonna want to check this out.

The gameplay comes courtesy of the new show Live With YouTube Gaming. The episode also touches on the Nintendo Switch, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Watch Dogs 2.

I heartily recommend you watch the whole episode when you get a chance, but the link below jumps straight to the Skyrim footage, just in case you’re busy.

The above show was originally streamed live (hence the name), making it the first ever live ‘let’s play’ of Skyrim remastered – quite a cool first.

As you can see, the game certainly is looking a lot nicer. Weather effects and lighting in particular are pretty saucy, while the weapons are also looking wonderfully detailed in first-person.

Xbox One and PC versions will have official mod support from Bethesda, while PS4 gets a similar (albeit slightly watered down) service. Still, all versions will include all previous DLC.

The remaster – known as Skyrim Special Edition – will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28, with a release for the Nintendo Switch also recently confirmed in the Big N’s reveal trailer for its new console.
