With FIFA 17 due to hit shops in just nine days (in the U.S) it sounds like there’s a hell of a lot to get excited about.
There’s the new story mode, the single-player career mode which has been updated with a whole load of new features and a soundtrack absolutely slammed full of bangers.
But it sounds like it’s going to be on the technical side that FIFA 17 is making its biggest leap forward.
The game is upgrading from the Ignite engine to Frostbite, meaning that although the animations will look pretty similar, from a graphical point of view the differences will be noticeable.
Frostbite 3 will allow for more advanced lighting in the new game which will have benefits including the way both stadiums and players look.
It’s a bit hard to imagine so fortunately there’s a handy comparison video from Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry so you can see for yourself.
I can’t bloody wait.
