While it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be, I think we can all agree that there’s still a bit of a stigma around gamers, and gaming as a hobby.
However, new research conducted by a UK based money saving website seems to have found that – incredibly – gamers are actually getting more action than any other group of males in the country.
VoucherCodesPro conducted the survey as part of an ongoing research into stereotypes. 2,357 UK-based women aged 18 and over, all of whom stated they were in a relationship and had been for the last year, were quizzed about their partners and their romantic lives.
These women were given a list of descriptions, and were asked to decide which one best fit their partner – you can see what they found below:
- 25% ‘gym goer’
- 21% ‘hipster’
- 17% ‘gamer’
- 12% ‘rockers’
- 9% ‘dad’
- 7% ‘nerdy’
- 6% ‘trend-setter’
- 3% ‘chav’
Following this, participants were asked if they were happy with their sex life, to which 78% agreed that they were. With all normal civilised boundaries clearly broken down, they were then asked how often they had sex with their partner.
When it came time to find out which group was the most sexually active, the results were broken down and the average was found for each description, leading to those cheeky gamers giving it up no less than six times a week.
Oh, and the research found gamers are a pretty selfless bunch in the bedroom, with 59% putting their partners needs before their own. Take a look at the impressive numbers below.
- Gamer – 6 times a week
- Hipster – 4 times a week
- Chav – 4 times a week
- Trend-setter – 3 times a week
- Nerdy – 3 times a week
- Rocker – 2 times a week
- Gym goer – once a week
- Dad – once a fortnight
Now, I’m not saying this survey is definitive proof – but if there any women out there who find themselves unsatisfied by their ‘trend-setter’ (what the fuck does that even mean?), then go get a gamer.
We’re not that hard to find, since we usually stay indoors.
