Rockstar has launched the latest free update to Grand Theft Auto V, with skinny jeans and a six-seater monster car for all.
The anti-hipster rampage was always one of our favourite moments in Grand Theft Auto V, but now you too can be a dedicated follower of fashion with the new ‘I’m Not a Hipster’ update.
A free download in the vein of The High Life and Beach Bum updates, this adds seven new vehicles that range from the Panto microcar to the three-axel, six-seat Dubsta (although you’ll have to be rank 100 to unlock it).
There’s also new weapons in the form of a vintage pistol and an antique cavalry dagger, which is presumably the sort of weapon Rockstar assumes hipsters would use if they didn’t think the pen was mighter than the sword.
New clothing includes retro print tees, skinny jeans, and hipster-appropriate hairstyles, tattoos, and animal masks.
There’s also 12 new jobs, including a deathmatch in Puerta Del Sol; three new gang attacks in Chumash, East Vinewood and Mirror Park; two new captures; and several new races.
As usual there’s also a number of other miscellaneous tweaks and changes, including adding 10 existing GTA V vehicles to southernsanandreassuperautos.com, new paint colours for modding your cars, new player celebrations, and various bug fixes.
An I’m Not A Hipster event weekend is planned shortly, but Rockstar are keeping quieter than ever about when online heists will be available or when we’ll see the already promised story-based expansion.
It’s possible neither will arrive until the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game are released this autumn. In fact that would probably be a very good way to increase anticipation for them.
