– 4 eggs (yolks and whites separated)
– 150g caster sugar
– 125g butter
– 45g cocoa powder
– 60g plain flour
– 470ml milk
First, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
Fold in the melted butter.
And then the cocoa powder and flour.
Whisk in the milk.
To finish the batter, whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks are formed.
Fold them into the cake batter.
Pour the mix into a loaf tin and bake for one hour at 160 degrees Celsius.
