250g beef mince
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp English mustard
Salt & pepper
3 tbsp BBQ sauce
2 rashers bacon
100g mature cheddar
Brioche bun
1 beef tomato – thinly sliced
1 baby gem lettuce
2 pickled gherkins – thinly sliced

Method:

First, empty the Dr Pepper into a pan and reduce on a high heat until thick and syrupy – about 20 minutes.

Cook the bacon and the burgers for three minutes in a very hot griddle pan – then flip and repeat.
