– 1 ciabatta loaf
– 1 clove of garlic
– 1 onion (sliced)
– 1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
– 40g butter
– 1 tsp sugar
– 6 mushrooms (sliced)
– 400g sirloin steak
– 50g stilton
– Small handful of rocket
First, crushed a clove of garlic and rub the ciabatta with it. Drizzle it will oil and bake for five minutes at 180 degrees celsius.
Then, fry the onions and thyme in 15g of the butter and the sugar for 15 minutes until softened.
Fry the mushrooms in the remaining butter.
Season the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, dependant on how you like it cooked.
Allow it to rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing.
To assemble the sandwich, first spread mustard on the ciabatta. Then add on the onions and steak.
