Every shopper knows the struggle of being informed there’s ‘an unexpected item in the bagging area’ even though THERE’S NOTHING THERE, STOP SHOUTING AT ME, LEAVE ME ALONE.
But it turns out that there’s a very simple way to shut up the constant vocal instructions from the self-service machines in supermarkets, the Sun reports.
Like all of us, MoneySavingExpert.com blogger Jordan Cox finds that supposedly helpful voice very annoying indeed, and he made a video to show us how to silence the constant nagging and make your shopping time a far more pleasant experience.
And, who knew, it’s all down to a simple mute button found on the screen of the checkout terminal.
The button can be found at the bottom centre of most self service checkout screens – yep, they’re actually hiding it in plain sight.
We honestly never even knew this button existed but it’s a definite game changer!
