If Kim Kardashian’s naked selfie proved anything, it’s how divisive one image can be.
Plenty of people were lining up to criticise Kim when she posted the nude photo online but there’s also been a surprising amount of praise from others who felt the photo was an unapologetic celebration of female sexuality.
Kim herself went on to echo this sentiment in an essay on her agency site and the hashtag which accompanied a second naked picture, ‘#liberated’, the Independent reports.

Despite being tweeted a fortnight ago the picture is still drawing headlines with murals popping up, only to be defaced and replaced, and councils ordering their removal (apparently though murals of Kanye West getting it on with himself can stay though).
Now the actress Ariel Winter, from Modern Family, has come out in support of Kim while speaking on the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O. Winter claims that Kardashian’s selfie promotes body positivity.
You know, young girls being able to express that they don’t have a stick-thin body – they’re curvy.
Stick-thin bodies are amazing, you know, those girls are amazing too but I think that everybody’s body would be celebrated no matter what it is and I think that it’s great that she’s so comfortable with herself and that she’s able to post out there what she wants to and post and if she wants to post a nude selfie, she can.
Winter and Emily Ratajkowski were just two of a number of celebs to publically support Kardashian, who responded by sending flowers and notes to both.
