A mother who fell in love with her son after spending 30 years apart has gone into hiding, after police said she could face up to 15 years in prison for incest.
Only yesterday, news outlets picked up on the New Day exclusive story about Kim West, 52, and her biological son, Ben, 32, who claimed they were having ‘incredible sex’ and are in love.
She had given up Ben for adoption after falling pregnant at just 19 years of age with her then-boyfriend in California.
In the insightful interview, the pair told the New Day how they want to get married and how they’re now planning to have a baby.
By telling their story, they tried to claim that their relationship wasn’t incestuous and increase people’s understanding of Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), but it seems to have massively backfired.
Now Kim – who lives with Ben in Michigan – has now been forced to go into hiding, now that U.S. authorities are aware of their relationship.
Under state law, adults can get up to 15 years in prison if found to be in a consensual incestuous relationship and would have to sign the sex offenders register for life.
This essentially means that if anyone decides to complain about Kim and Ben’s relationship, U.S. police would have to investigate- so it’s highly inevitable.
However, at the moment, it seems the police have yet to receive complaint about the couple.
The pair reunited after Kim received a letter from Ben – who was married at the time – out of the blue in 2013.
