Remember when Donald Trump’s camp were furious after Hilary Clinton predicted terrorist organisations would start using Trump’s anti-Muslim rants in recruitment videos?
Well, in awkward news for the businessman turned Republican presidential wannabe, that’s precisely what’s just happened.
As reported by CBS News, a Somalian terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda have used footage of Donald Trump in a new propaganda video.

The 51-minute video, posted online by al-Shabab on Friday, reportedly shows footage of Trump supporting “a total and complete shutdown” on immigration into the U.S. by Muslims.
The recruitment video begins and ends with remarks from Anwar al-Awlaki, an al-Qaeda official who was killed in Yemen during a U.S. airstrike in 2011. He claimed that the U.S. would become “a land of religious discrimination and concentration camps” and that “the West will eventually turn against its Muslim citizens”, and exploits other footage showing examples of racial tension in America.
The video comes less than a month after Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said in a debate that Islamic State may use Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric for recruiting purposes.
And we also need to make sure that the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don’t fall on receptive ears. He is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists. So I want to explain why this is not in America’s interest to react with this kind of fear and respond to this sort of bigotry.Advertisement
So, basically, as if Trump’s crazy ranting and growth in popularity wasn’t scary enough, his ignorant words are now the inspiration for terrorism videos. Fantastic…
