One person has been reported dead as well as several seriously injured after a man went on a knife rampage through a train station in Germany.
The man is alleged to have attacked the passengers at the station and is said to have shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ during the attack at around 4:50am local time. He has since been arrested, German police confirmed to the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
Three men are being treated for life threatening injuries according to local radio reports.

Police are checking witness statements that the man shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is Great), ITV News reports.
Germany, which is playing a role in the fight against Islamic State, has not suffered a major attack by Islamist militants the like of which neighbouring Belgium and France have experienced.
It is not yet known if this is an Islamic State attack.
