The paedophile hunting group Dark Justice have once again snared a man who arranged to meet, what he thought was, a 14-year-old girl for sex.
36-year-old Ian Williams of Gateshead, Newcastle was captured on film as he waited to meet a teenage girl he’d been talking to online – little did he know, he was in fact talking to the serial paedophile hunters. As the realisation sinks in that he’s been rumbled Williams attempts to flee the scene, but he was later arrested by police with a stash of evidence against him.
He used the messaging service whatsapp as well as an online messenger to groom the girl, saying how he wished she was older so they could have sex. After talking further, he thought he had convinced her to meet him so he could teach her how to ‘kiss and make love.’
Pleading guilty to attempting to meet a child after grooming, Williams has received a two year jail sentence, was made to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years, and must abide by a sexual offences order for life.
Mr Recorder Ewan Duff told Newcastle Crown Court:
You were making it clear you wanted to meet her to have sexual intercourse with her. From the very beginning you knew perfectly well your belief was that this was a 14-year-old girl who you were intending to have sexual intercourse with. This was someone posing as a girl, unbeknown to you.
Dark Justice are now responsible for putting six paedophiles behind bars.
