If you’ve ever fancied a date with Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, now’s your chance.
The TV show regular will appear on an upcoming celebrity special of First Dates and will be looking for love alongside 75-year-old TV presenter Esther Rantzen and Paralympian Will Bayley, Channel 4 have confirmed.
Former TOWIE star Jess Wright will also be among the celebrity daters for the show’s four celebrity-filled specials next series, according to the Huffington Post.
First Dates executive producer Nicola Lloyd said:
We’re hugely excited about the new series of Celebrity First Dates.
It never seems to matter who walks through the doors of the First Dates restaurant, regardless of status we’re all vulnerable human beings and our celebrity series confirms this.Advertisement
We’re proud to be able to maintain the emotional integrity of the series through these four unique celebrity episodes. Be prepared for some romantic matches alongside a few awkward encounters.
Scarlett’s appearance on the show was revealed after it was claimed Gogglebox was clamping down on cast members doing other programmes.
A source told The Sun:
The cast are the hottest things around right now and brands are offering big money to snap them up for other TV projects and endorsements – but Channel Four bosses fear the more they’re seen, the less appeal the show will have.
There have been discussions amongst the cast about negotiating any contracts ahead of the next series with what they can and can’t do.
But not coming from an official source, who knows how true that actually is. After all, Gogglebox favourite Sandra has taken up plus-sized lingerie modelling recently.
Whoever Scarlett is paired with though, we hope they appreciate her sass as much as we do – after all, we can’t forget that she completely owned Katie Hopkins on Twitter.
