Johnny Depp’s assistant claims his text messages apologising to Amber Heard for the actors actions are fake and has no knowledge of the actor being physically abusive towards her.
After Entertainment Tonight published text messages, which were allegedly sent by Stephen apologising to Amber on Johnny’s behalf for a number of violent incidents- Stephen now insists that the conversation never happened.
Speaking to TMZ, he said that he ‘knows of no acts of abuse toward Amber at the hands of Johnny’ and ‘has never made such a claim to anyone’.
He also went on to say that he doesn’t know of Johnny, 52, being violent towards anyone and is willing to testify on his employer’s behalf.
The explosive text messages emerged earlier this week, indicating alleged abuse dating as far back as 2014.
The text exchange begins with a message from ‘Stephen’, who is apologising on behalf of a man, assumed to be Depp.
It read: “Think he’s just texted you. He’s incredibly apologetic and knows that he has done wrong. He wants to get better now. He’s been very explicit about that this morning. Feel like we’re at a critical juncture.”
Another, supposedly sent from Heard, reads: “Yes but I don’t know how to be around him after what he did to me yesterday. I don’t know if I can stay with him.”
Stephen purportedly answers: “He wants to see you so much. He’s distraught.”
Heard texts back:
Obviously he has no idea what he did or the extent that he did it. If someone was truly honest with him about how bad it really was, he’d be appalled.
I’m sad that he doesn’t have a better way to really know the severity of his actions yesterday. Unfortunately for me, I remember in full detail everything that happened.
Stephen allegedly reiterates that the man supposed to be Depp has no recollection of the events: “He was appalled. When I told him he kicked you, he cried. It was disgusting. And he knows it. He’s a little lost boy. And needs all the help he can get. He is so very sorry, as he should be.”
He’s done this many times before. Tokyo, the island, London (remember that?!), and I always stay. Always believe he’s going to get better… And then every 3 or so months, I’m in the exact same position.
This just comes just days after Heard filed paperwork seeking a temporary restraining order, claiming in court papers that Depp ‘has been verbally and physically abusive’ for the ‘entirety’ of their relationship.
She had also described an attack in December, claiming ‘there was one severe incident in December 2015 when I truly feared for my life.’
Heard has also released a full statement to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) about the alleged domestic abuse she received from her estranged husband Depp.
With all these different accounts surfacing day-by-day, it could take a while until we find out what really happened between these two.
