The Spanish Prime Minister has been punched in the face during a campaign event.
Mariano Rajoy was in Galicia speaking to voters ahead of the country’s general election on Sunday, when a young guy standing next to him punched the left side of his face
According to The Independent, Mr Rajoy had his glasses knocked off and fell to the floor from the impact of the punch.
Spanish media reported the attacker was a 17-year-old, and he was taken away by security guards afterwards.
A spokesperson for the PM’s People’s Party said the 60-year-old was left unhurt by the attack.
