Alan Sugar has a bit of a habit of saying dim, controversial things recently and now his harsh words have landed him in hot water with the infamous ‘selfie sisters’ after he appeared to call them prostitutes.

The Apprentice star and billionaire Lord Sugar already pissed off a whole bunch of people when he sensationally claimed that nobody in the UK today was actually that poor, and now he’s incurred the wrath of the three sisters who have used their selfies and social media to ‘rinse’ men of more than £75,000 in gifts.

Lucy Brooks, 28, and her sisters Sophie, 26, and Stacie, 25, made headlines last week after revealing how men, who have never met them before, lavish them with expensive gifts and expect nothing in return.

As Lucy explained:

It’s not seedy. It’s hardly like we’re selling our bodies. We’re doing many of these men a favour. They love our pictures and tell us how fun we look. We brighten up their day, in an innocent way. We’d never meet or do anything sexual. We’re not like that.

But the 68-year-old Sugar isn’t a fan of their idea and, in an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women this week, he was pretty adamant that what the girls are doing doesn’t show entrepreneurial spirit.

Sugar said:

No, it’s not. I think it’s the oldest profession in history, isn’t it? Mind you, it’s given me an idea. Next time someone stops me in the streets for a selfie, I’ll say ‘OK, a fiver,’

Laughing, Sugar then claimed he would donate the cash he raised to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The three sisters were quick to fire back at Sugar for his comments, branding him “prehistoric”.

Speaking to the Mirror Online, Lucy added:

Lord Sugar’s views on life are dated, in fact they’re prehistoric. It’s funny that he joked about letting people take a selfie of him and donate £5 to Great Ormand Street, we’ve actually donated over £6,500 to that very charity!

We do all love Lord Sugar though, it was his first book that gave us the determination to open our salon! I feel like we shouldn’t spend our hard earned cash on his latest book, we’ll just put it on the wish list instead!

Whatever you may think of what the girls are doing, there’s no denying that was a pretty epic comeback!
