Understandably, there has been massive backlash over the new North Carolina law which forces transgender people to use bathrooms that were designated for ‘their biological sex’.

But now this outrage has even spread into the realm of adult entertainment.

Popular porn site, XHamster.com is denying access to its users in North Carolina as of yesterday.

Instead of getting their daily dose of porn, those with a North Carolina IP address were greeted with a black screen on their computer.

But now it seems they are instead met with a banner calling upon them to stop the states ‘homophobic insanity’ and highlighting the hypocrisy of its residents.

Speaking to The Huffington Post, XHamster.com spokesman, Mike Kulich, said:

We have spent the last 50 years fighting for equality for everyone and these laws are discriminatory which XHamster.com does not tolerate. Judging by the stats of what you North Carolinians watch, we feel this punishment is a severe one. We will not standby and pump revenue into a system that promotes this type of garbage. We respect all sexualities and embrace them.

The thing that makes this even more frustrating, is that the company’s stats show that North Carolinians are a lot more open-minded then this new law suggests.

XHamster joins a growing list of people who are refusing to do business in North Carolina, including Bruce Springsteen, who cancelled his Sunday concert in Greensboro as protest against the law.

He said by doing this was ‘the strongest means I have for raising my voice in opposition to those who continue to push us backwards instead of forwards.’

And now Kulich said he believes denying porn is the next logical step, adding: “I think that porn has the power to do what Bruce Springsteen can’t.” Can’t say he’s wrong there.

We live in hope that common sense will eventually prevail and this ridiculous law will be rightfully repealed.
